What is Hosting?

A Hosted environment allows remote users to access a centralised computer system from any geographical location, and this means users can share a single repository of data and software, as well as providing a single location for backup.

The Paradise Hosting Centre is certified to ISO27001:2005 and supported by our engineers. Paradise is a Microsoft Gold partner and is committed to providing the highest levels of customer service and technical knowledge.

Technical Description

The Paradise Hosting Centre is based on VMware technology, offering single or multiple virtual servers to customers on dedicated or shared hardware. Access is via leased internet backbone line using Sonicwall SSL/VPN devices. RSA or other fob-based access can be provided at additional cost.

End users should use Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7 or later. No specific end-user machine configuration is required, although older machines may suffer from restrictions on screen resolution and other limitations. Other browser products may work, but are not supported.

Remote workstations are based on either 2003 or 2008 Windows Server Terminal Services. Paradise will administrate and maintain the domain unless a customer wishes to take responsibility for the domain control.

Additional servers can be provided to support Exchange, SQL or other products.

All Microsoft Server licensing costs are included in the monthly hosting fees agreed per user and will paid to Microsoft for you using a SPLA licensing agreement.

Other products can be hosted by arrangement.
