CASE STUDIES: Sage Cloud Hosting
Case studies of successful cloud migration for Sage users in the UK.
Mid-Market Company, High Transaction Levels

Freeman Automotive Ltd manufacture and supply high-quality brake pads throughout the world under the brand name "EBC". Migrating from Multisoft in 2009, EBC wanted a responsive and flexible supplier to address their changing needs and provide opportunities to modernise their operation.
To begin this process Paradise provided a hosted Sage 200 solution to address the core business needs for 30 users based at Northampton. In addition, EBC moved their Microsoft Office processing and Exchange email to the hosted system at Paradise..
In 2010 the system was enhanced by adding INVU document management and an integrated web shop to provide on-line ordering directly into Sage 200. This web shop was developed and deployed on the hosted system by Paradise to interact directly with the stock control and Sales Order system within Sage 200, providing an efficient and capable integrated solution.
The webshop proved highly effective and began to handle in excess of 500 order a week, and was later integrated to the EBC courier system to provide real-time delivery tracking via Sage 200 on the website.
As the system grew more resources were required and in 2011 EBC decided to upgrade from the Paradise in-house hosting centre to the scaleable Rise solution, to provide more resources on demand and also introduce the opportunity to expand to cover the other EBC operations in Bristol, Denmark and the US.
Small Company, Low Cost
WDScott has a rich history in the Australian, European, Asian and US market places. Founded in 1938 by Sir Walter Scott, WDScott grew to be Australia’s largest international management consulting firm. It developed a reputation with Clients for integrity, excellence, innovation and results through the use of its structured and well-tested Intellectual Property (IP) and knowledge suite.
In June 2008 the London office of WD Scott approached Paradise with a requirement for a small (2-user) Sage 200 installation, and were pleased at the low cost to achieve this, with a modest set up fee and hosting at £100 per month for the two users, including Sage 200 support. In the time that the system has been active it has been highly available, with only two connection issues in the first 8 months of operation. The Paradise Helpdesk response has also resolved Sage 200 problems on a same-day basis consistently throughout the contract. WD Scott are an excellent example of a small-scale Sage Hosting project that yields high benefit for low cost.
