Hello, Happy New Year and welcome to Paradise Computing's 2011 customer newsletter.
Within this edition we would like to show you a few of our plans for 2011 and how we are working hard to bring you the right products and solutions as well as continue to provide a first class service.

New Starters
Ben Luckman - Support Team Leader
Ben recently joined the Paradise team as our Support Team Leader and has already made a positive impact to the business. His energy and enthusiasm is infectious and the skills he has brought to Paradise are indispensable.
Personal Profile
I started in IT working on the IT helpdesk for a Pharmaceutical company in Milton Keynes. Prior to joining Paradise I was working for a large international defence and systems company supporting the Trusted Borders programme which was responsible for securing the UK's borders.
In my personal time I am a 3rd degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and also work as a photographer shooting anything from weddings to track days.
Martyn Fleetwood - Senior Support Engineer
Martyn joined Paradise in November last year as part of our experienced Support team. Martyn's diverse experience and knowledge will enhance our Support team and provide increased flexibility to you, our customers.
Personal Profile
I have worked in IT for many years now, all the way back to Windows 95, and have continued to build on my experience and knowledge ever since. I have also returned to University, gained Cisco Certification, Java programming experience and System/Network Security Training. I joined Paradise from another Sage Specialist and hope to bring my skills and knowledge to Paradise and our customers.
Website
In 2011 Paradise Computing will be launching a brand new website, which has been redesigned and rebranded to reflect Paradise moving forward in to 2011 and beyond.
Our new website has a host of new features and layouts making it easy for you to navigate throughout the site and locate the information you want. With our new 'LIVE' helpdesk assistant you can logs calls faster and easier than ever before and the cleaner design and simpler format will improve your online experience.
In addition paradisecomputing.co.uk will become your source to the I.T. world with interactive Twitter, news feeds and development that may affect you as a business in the future.

Sage Visions
2011 will see the implementation of a 'New' Vision for Sage UK.
At their recent Moment of Truth - Vision 2010 Conference, it was announced that Sage will improve their business relationship between their business partners and ultimately offer a higher combined quality and level of service to you, the end users.

Both Sage 50 version 12 and 2007 are due to reach their end of life age in March 2011. This means they will not be supported from this date.

Training News
Our Training department is changing, not only will we continue to provide you with first class training and facilities, we now offer 'Mobile Training' resources and a new initiative called 'Paradise Academy'
Mobile Training
We have always been able to offer on-site training to all our customers, but due to local demand for our training services we have now created 'Mobile Training', taking the conventional a step further, bringing the training environment to you.
When you're too busy to be off-site; you need training but can't leave the office, no problem Paradise can bring it all to you.

Cloud Computing has hit our shores in a big way in 2010 and we have been monitoring its progress. But did you know we have been offering private Cloud solutions since 2005? Having provided this solution for over 5 years we understand its potential and more importantly the effects and impacts this solution will bring.
As a result of the Clouds growth in 2010, we have recently rebranded our Cloud solution to include a number of solutions we feel will benefit our customers.
Scalable Cloud
Our scalable solution is exactly that - Flexible, Fast, Reliable and Efficient. With Scalable Cloud you get the best of both worlds with Private and Public solutions as well as an ISO accredited solution.
Resource-on-demand
One of the market-leading features of Paradise Scalable Cloud is the resource-on-demand service. This means that while we provide you with the most cost-effective platform to suit your processing needs, we can scale this up at any time. Need additional server or more processors? Not a problem. Need more memory or disk space? Just ask. In the case of memory and processors, we can even offer resources to come on line only when you require them, for month-end processing for example. This maximises your cost efficiency.
Sage Hosting
We have been at the forefront of Sage hosting since 2005 and have perfected the provision of Sage 200 as a remote service, allowing use of Sage 200 by enabling access via a secure Internet browser. Running in an ISO27001 certified hosting centre, this approach allows you, the customer, to use your Sage 200 licence for remote access without modification. Users simply navigate to a secure web address (all Paradise systems use SSL/VPN) and sign into a portal.
As well as Sage 200, you can elect to have Microsoft Office, Exchange and Outlook or other products made available to the users. All Microsoft products are available on cost-effective monthly rental, using SPLA licensing.
